Permissions
Assumptions may be found in the following parts of the application, however different Stakeholder Permissions and User Account Types are required to access specific application areas and any corresponding management features (insert, edit, remove and import) they may contain.
Stakeholder Permissions - The following are accessible if the User has the correct Stakeholder Permissions on the current Project.
Assumption Management - The Assumption Management Tool is the central location to find, view and manage Assumptions. View permission is required to access the Tool, this includes the use of any features that aid in searching Assumptions. Edit permission is required to enable any management features.
Documents - Certain Assumptions are accessible within the Documents detailed below. View permission is required to access the Document which would include any Assumptions identified within and Edit permission is required in order to manage the Assumptions within the document.
Account Types
Dashboard - Each User has access to the Project Dashboard, however the Assumptions displayed on the Dashboard for a Standard User and an Administrator User are slightly different, as detailed below.

Assumption Management
The Assumption Management Tool has features for searching, viewing and managing Assumptions for the entire Project.
The Search Assumptions feature enables Users to locate and display Assumptions based on specific criteria.
Users with the Edit permission will have access to the management features of the Assumption Management Tool, these include: Create, Edit, Remove and Import.
Assumptions displayed within Assumption Management are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.
Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.
Documents
The following Documents contain an area for identifying Assumptions which relate directly to that specific Document.
- Project Mandate
- Business Case
- Requirements Specification
- Design Specification
To refresh the displayed Assumptions click on the icon at the top of the Document then click the
Refresh option.
Assumptions displayed within Documents are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.
Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.
Dashboard -
Standard User
The Dashboard for a Standard User will display all Unresolved Assumptions owned by that User.
The displayed Assumptions can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button at the top of the expander.
Assumptions displayed on a Standard User Dashboard are sorted in ascending order by Review Date then ID and paged to 5 items per page.
Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.
Dashboard -
Administrator User
The Dashboard for an Administrator User Account will display the Top 5 Unresolved Assumptions sorted by Review Date.
Please note: The User can alternatively display the Top 5 Unresolved Dependencies by Review Date by clicking on the
toggle button to the top right of the expander.
The displayed Assumptions can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button at the top of the expander.
Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.
